During her prolonged stay in China,she became fascinated by Eastern philosophy and art-forms,especially the Chinese paintingtechniques. The main reason for her fascination was the possibility to express her feelings and emotions with and by the chinese brushpaint-techniques. She is working with Chinese paint on Xuan-paper [alumed rice-paper] and uses absorbing materials, like different kind of salt, in combination with the paint and water.Through that it is possible to create spontaneous and controlled processes in the paintings. Her paintings show technical mastership and feelings for strong and harmonious imagination. They give the spectator a wide berth for his own interpretations.
